This robust, connected charger has been designed to recharge your 12V battery efficiently, even in a demanding environment. Fully encapsulated, compatible with a variety of batteries and equipped with a Bluetooth system for remote control, it promises optimum performance and long life for your auxiliary battery.

The Blue Smart IP67 Victron Energy is more than just a charger, it's an advanced battery protection device that can withstand the most extreme conditions. Thanks to its IP67 protection rating, it is totally sealed against dust and oil and can withstand temporary immersion in water (on a boat, for example). It is also shock and fire resistant. Its case is made of cast aluminium and the electronics are moulded with resin.

The built-in charging modes (which can be selected directly from the Victron Connect application) and adaptive charging logic are suitable for most types of battery: Lead-acid, AGM, GEL and Lithium.

Four charging modes are available: NORMAL (14.4V); HIGH (14.7V); RESET; LI-ION (this one is for Lithium-ion batteries only).

As previously mentioned, this charger features a 5-stage adaptive charging algorithm: bulk, absorption, recovery, float, storage. It is controlled by a microprocessor to automatically optimise each charging cycle (depending on how the 12V battery is used) and maintain the charge over long periods.

Please note that if you have a Lithium-ion battery (not Lithium LiFePO4), the Blue Smart IP67 charger has a simple algorithm: Bulk, Absorption, Float.

A Blue Smart IP67 is equipped with overheating protection: the output current will be reduced if the temperature rises to 60°C, but the charger will not fail.

What does the Blue Smart IP67 charger do when the battery is not in use?

Quite simply, storage mode is activated when your battery has not been used for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for a 12 V auxiliary battery) to minimise gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised to the absorption level to equalise the battery. This prevents electrolyte stratification and sulphation, which are major causes of premature battery ageing.
