How do I apply Osmo coloured wax oil to my kit van furniture?

Before you start painting with the Transparent White wax oil, check that all the raw wood panels of your kit furniture are clean, dry and free of moisture.

To ensure that your furniture absorbs all the benefits of this oil wax finish, our team advises you to carry out the following steps:

• Sand with 120 or 150 grit.
• Clean up any sawdust and residue left by sanding with a hoover.
• Mix the jar of coloured wax oil Osmo before applying. (Ready to use, do not dilute)
• Check that the panels to be treated with the wax oil are clean.
• Using a flat brush, apply a thin first coat of transparent white Osmo wax oil to each panel of the furniture you wish to maintain. If your kit furniture is already assembled, remember to use a brush to cleanly paint the edges and corners.
• Leave to dry for 8 to 10 hours in an airy place.
• Apply a second coat, again using a flat brush.
• Allow to dry.
• If necessary, apply a final coat (optional).

We recommend that you use a mask and protective goggles when sanding.
