Because a LONGBOARD side unit without a worktop makes no sense!

A LONGBOARD worktop in a choice of lengths (PT450; PT870 or PT1290), made from 15mm thick HPL laminated birch plywood, is essential for using and finishing all the base units.

Select your worktop according to the number of base units you need to create your own LONGBOARD side unit. Note that if you are planning to install one or more high pedestals, these do not need a worktop. You will therefore need to provide a suitable worktop only for the bottom cabinet(s) that remain(s) on their own.

To understand :

• For 1 single pedestal, choose the worktop (PT450)
• For 2 low pedestals side by side, choose the worktop (PT870)
• For 3 low pedestals side by side, choose the worktop (PT1290)

It's important to know that you can also install one worktop next to another! Let's say you're planning to have 3 base units (which will not be fitted with a top unit) in your home, then there are several possible combinations:

• 1 PT1290 worktop to be installed on the 3 base units
• 1 PT450 worktop to be installed on 1 of the 3 base units + 1 PT870 worktop to be installed on 2 of the 3 base units

So why opt for another wood when this one meets all our requirements and brings satisfaction! For all the surface elements of our new LONGBOARD sideboard, we've added an HPL laminate coating to protect it from stains, scratches and minor accidental knocks.

All our worktops are covered with this HPL laminate finish to withstand daily use during your stays in a converted van. As we all know, a worktop is likely to be fitted with a sink, a hob or even a combination (water + fire). It's like the worktop in your fitted kitchen at home: you use it every day, so it has to be durable so you don't have to keep changing it.

Uses for LONGBOARD worktops

As you can see, our worktops require no special maintenance thanks to the HPL laminate finish.

The PT450 single worktop can accommodate either a sink or a gas hob. The PT870 duo and PT1290 trio worktops can accommodate both, or even a combination. Don't worry about splashes and/or stains on the worktop after washing up or cooking a nice meal - everything is easy to clean.

Make sure you choose the worktop that is compatible with your own combination of base units that do not accommodate top units!
