This robust and connected charger has been designed to efficiently charge your 12V battery, even in demanding environments. Fully encapsulated; compatible with various batteries; equipped with a Bluetooth system for remote control; it promises optimal performance and a long life for your auxiliary battery.

The Blue Smart IP67 Victron Energy is more than a charger, it's an advanced maintenance and protection device for your battery, resistant to the most extreme conditions. Thanks to its IP67 protection rating, it provides total protection against dust, oil and withstands temporary immersion in water (on a boat for example). It also resists shocks and fire. Its casing is made of cast aluminium and the electronic components are moulded with resin.

The integrated charging modes (which can be selected directly in the Victron Connect app) and the adaptive charging logic are suitable for most battery types: flooded lead-acid, AGM, gel electrolyte (GEL) and Lithium.

Four charging modes available: NORMAL (14.4V); HIGH (14.7V); RECONDITION; LI-ION (this one is intended only for a Lithium-ion battery).

As mentioned previously, this charger features a 5-stage adaptive charging algorithm: bulk, absorption, recondition, float, storage. It is controlled by a microprocessor to automatically optimise each recharge cycle (according to how the 12V battery is used) and maintain the charge over long periods.

Please note, if you have a Lithium-ion battery (and not Lithium LiFePO4), the Blue Smart IP67 charger has a simple algorithm: Bulk, Absorption, Float.

A Blue Smart IP67 is equipped with overheating protection; indeed, the output current will reduce if the temperature increases up to 60°C, but the charger will not fail.

Once the app is installed, you will be able to monitor voltage and current; modify settings and update the charger when new features are available.

What does the Blue Smart IP67 charger do when the battery is not in use?

Simply put, storage mode is activated when your battery has not been used for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V / cell (13.2V for a 12V auxiliary battery) to minimise gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised to absorption level to equalise the battery. This prevents electrolyte stratification and sulphation, which are major causes of premature battery ageing.
