The essential rust treatment for fitting windows on your converted van

Applying rust treatment to cut sheet metal parts is a mandatory step when installing a window on a panelled van. A lead-free rust treatment will be able to durably prevent the development of rust. Rubson's Frameto has been designed for preventive and curative use against rust.

After testing a good dozen products, our fitters chose to use this brand for fitting windows on our converted vans, for several reasons:

How to treat rust already present on my converted van?

Curative action on rust is also possible with this product. To treat rust spots present on the interior or exterior bodywork of your converted vehicle optimally and effectively, our team advises you to use a scraper on extensive rusted surfaces to remove excess rust. Cleaning and degreasing the surface is then necessary; you can use Armacell cleaner which is extremely effective. Then apply Frameto rust treatment using a brush or cotton bud depending on the extent of the area to be treated. Then leave to dry. The treated area can be painted.
