How to install the Autoterm Heating Kit VW T5 / T6 - exterior mounting?

Installation takes place under the vehicle chassis, in the technical space. It involves securing the unit to the supplied bracket, routing the air intake and exhaust pipes (Ø 60 mm / Ø 24 mm), connecting to the fuel circuit via the tank dip tube or the Webasto T-connector, and wiring to the battery. The control panel is mounted in the cab using the supplied cable (up to 10 m depending on the model). To distribute warm air throughout your fit-out, Autoterm Ø 60 mm air deflectors and connection clamps are available separately. If you are not comfortable with this type of installation, Autoterm has a network of authorised professionals in France — with workshop fitting, the warranty is extended to 3 years.

An approved VW T5 / T6 heating kit for VASP certification

VASP certification (Véhicule Automoteur Spécialisé ou de Préparation) requires, among other things, that the cab heating be approved.
