The Man TGE (body codes 2E / 2F) is the big brother of the MAN family in the light van segment. Produced between 2006 and 2016 in its L1H1 and L2H2 versions, it offers generous living space once converted into a campervan, but requires a heating kit specific to its chassis architecture. This Autoterm Air 2D kit is purpose-built for these versions: a stainless steel mounting box with an anti-vibration bracket adapted to the TGE's geometry, a compatible fuel tapping system, and a 60 mm duct to channel warm air into the cabin.

The mounting is external, under the chassis — the interior space of the van is fully preserved. The Autoterm Air 2D delivers up to 2 kW of thermal output for a fuel consumption of 0.10 to 0.24 L/h of diesel. Its brushless motor and variable-flow pump ensure quiet operation, particularly appreciated for overnight stays in a van. Its integrated oxygen sensors automatically adjust combustion at altitudes of up to 4,200 m. The Comfort Control panel, included with its extension cable, allows temperature adjustment from inside the van.

How to install the heating kit on the Man TGE?

The stainless steel mounting box is fixed under the TGE chassis. The included anti-vibration bracket isolates the heating unit from chassis vibrations, extending the life of the appliance. The fuel tap connects to the tank without drilling. The electrical cables run to the vehicle's electrical system or the conversion's battery bank, and the 60 mm duct passes through the floor to distribute warm air into the cabin.

The Autoterm Air 2D is certified ECE 10R / 122R (E2-10R / E2-122R), in accordance with VASP certification requirements for autonomous heaters in converted vehicles. Certificates are provided by Autoterm and must be handed to the inspector during the type approval inspection.
