Are you afraid to insulate your van yourself? With this kit, insulating a van isn't just for professionals! To make fitting vans accessible to everyone, even DIY enthusiasts, we've calculated for you the quantity of each material required for your L1H1 vehicle, while making sure to leave a small margin for error.

Forget about complicated rollers, Métisse RT comes in the form of panels, which are much easier to handle and limit the number of cuts.

Supple and lightweight, it's easy to cut with a smooth or corrugated blade knife, and surprisingly easy to lay. And the icing on the cake? No toxic emissions during installation (it is classified A+ for VOC emissions) and, above all, it doesn't scratch! An unrivalled ease of installation that changes everything.

Before you start laying, there's one crucial step: cleaning the walls. That's why we've included in our eco kit Armaflex solvent-free cleaner, designed by Armacell, the insulation expert. As well as being less polluting thanks to its antifreeze- and solvent-free formula, it is formidably effective at removing grease, rust and impurities. It guarantees an impeccable surface for optimum adhesion of your insulation !

For optimum fixing, we have included a contact adhesive spray.

Can Métisse RT be installed over sprayed cork ?

Yes, absolutely! Métisse RT can be an excellent complementary or main solution, even if you've already applied sprayed cork. These two materials can work together to optimise the insulation of your van. The sprayed cork will provide an initial thermal and anti-condensation barrier, while the Métisse RT will reinforce the thermal and acoustic insulation. Make sure that the sprayed cork is smooth. Leave to dry for at least 24 to 48 hours.

Is a vapour barrier compulsory with Métisse RT?

Yes, the use of a vapour barrier is essential with Métisse RT, as with most fibrous insulation materials. Métisse RT is a perspirant material, meaning it lets water vapour through. The vapour brake will regulate this water vapour migration and prevent condensation inside the insulation and on the metal sheet of your vehicle, which could damage the insulation and encourage corrosion.

Can I use a vapour barrier instead of a vapour brake ?

A vapour barrier is completely impermeable to water vapour. In a van, where variations in temperature and humidity are frequent, a vapour barrier could trap moisture inside the Métisse RT structure, which would be counter-productive. The vapour barrier, on the other hand, has variable permeability (hygrovariable), meaning that it allows any moisture that might enter the fibre insulation to escape, while limiting the entry of moisture from inside the van. This is the best solution for healthy, long-lasting insulation with natural fibre insulation such as Métisse RT.

Is this ecological insulation kit compatible with my vehicle ?
