First of all, remember to meticulously clean all surfaces of your vehicle with Armacell Cleaner solvent-free cleaner, more ecological than its predecessor thanks to its composition without solvents and antifreeze. This is a non-negotiable step to eliminate grease, dust or rust and guarantee perfect adhesion of the adhesive.

Can I install Métisse RT over a layer of projected cork?

Yes, it's even an excellent idea! The projected cork will serve as an anti-condensation primer, and Métisse RT will provide thermal-acoustic performance. Simply ensure the cork is completely dry (wait 24 to 48 hours) and that the surface is smooth.

Is the vapour control layer really necessary?

It is absolutely essential with fibre insulation. It will regulate the passage of water vapour to prevent it condensing on the cold metal, thus protecting your van from rust and your insulation from moisture.

Why choose a vapour control layer and not a vapour barrier?

A vapour barrier is a watertight barrier that can trap moisture. A vapour control layer is an intelligent membrane that blocks moisture from inside whilst allowing the structure to "breathe". It's the healthiest and most durable solution for a converted vehicle.

Is this kit compatible with my large L4H3 van?
