This water heater is capable of heating water instantly, thanks to its 30mbar butane/propane gas supply and 12V cigarette lighter connection. With a flow rate varying between 2.7 L/min at 50°C and 5 L/min at 30°C, it guarantees you hot water quickly, whatever the conditions. It comes with a shower head with its hose to connect to the water heater so you can wash in complete peace of mind!

How to install the Carbest 30mbar water heater?

Step 1 - Preparation: Take all components out of the storage bag and place the appliance on a stable surface. Ensure that all hoses are neither bent nor twisted.

Step 2 - Water connection: Attach the 12V DC pump cable to the electrical connection marked “pump” and connect its hose to the water inlet on the water heater.

Step 3 - Gas connection: Connect one end of the gas hose (not included, sold separately on our website) to the gas inlet of the water heater and the other end to the Propane regulator or Butane regulator (not included, products sold separately on our website). Attach the regulator to the Propane or Butane gas cylinder. Tighten the connections firmly.

Step 4 - Leak check: Open the gas cylinder slightly and check the connections for leaks with soapy water. If there is a leak, close the valve, tighten the connections and retest.

Step 5 - Water outlet preparation: Deploy the water heater's folding tap. Assemble the shower hose and shower head, then connect them to the tap outlet.

Step 6 - Power supply: Check that the water heater switch is in the "OFF" position. Connect one end of the 12V cable to the "DC Input" socket on the water heater and the other end to an appropriate power source such as a 12V cigarette lighter socket.

How to operate my Carbest 30mbar gas water heater?

Before and during use of your water heater, ensure that all air inlets and outlets are not obstructed. This equipment must not be used when wind speed exceeds 10km/h. It has a safety system that will shut down the water heater if it is operating when wind speed exceeds 10km/h.

Now, in order to use your appliance correctly, carry out the following steps (or consult the user manual):

Step 1 - Preparation: Submerge the pump in a clean water tank (not from natural sources such as rivers or lakes). Position the shower head as you wish and ensure that the flow control switch is in the "open" position.

Step 2 - Opening the gas: Turn the gas cylinder valve one full turn anticlockwise.

Step 3 - Starting up: Turn the water heater switch to "ON". Water should start flowing within 20 seconds, then the electronic ignition should be heard and light the burner (the flame is visible through the window at the front of the appliance).

Step 4 - Temperature adjustment: Measure the temperature of the flowing water and adjust it with the gas control knob ranging from minimum heat to maximum heat position.

Step 5 - Interrupting water flow: Place the flow regulator on "OFF" to stop the water. The burner goes out, but the pump continues to operate.

Step 6 - Relighting the burner: Turn the flow regulator back to "ON", water will start flowing and the burner will light within 5 seconds.

Step 7 - Overheating: If the system stops due to water outlet overheating, it shuts down automatically and cannot be restarted until manually operated. To restart the system, turn the power switch to "OFF" and wait for the water outlet temperature to drop to the 50°C limit, then turn the switch back to "ON", the burner will be relit and hot water will start flowing.

These steps ensure optimal and safe operation of your Carbest water heater so you can enjoy a hot shower wherever you are!

Caution, water remaining in the heat exchanger when flow is stopped may become hot. When flow resumes, the user must check the outlet temperature to ensure it is suitable for use and has not become too hot. Once the user has finished using the appliance, place the flow regulator in the "OFF" position, then turn the "Power" switch to "OFF".

Properly storing your Carbest 30mbar gas water heater

• When the appliance is operating, close the gas cylinder valve clockwise to the "OFF" position. The burner will continue to operate until all the gas has escaped from the gas hose and regulator. Once this is complete, switch off the power supply (turn the water heater switch to "OFF").
• Disconnect the DC input (12V DC connector/cable), the 12V DC pump cable and its own hose from the water heater. Hold the pump about 1 metre from the ground to let all the water drain before coiling it up and storing it in the carry bag.
• Remove the regulator from the Butane/Propane gas cylinder (already closed beforehand) then remove the gas hose from the water heater. Store everything (regulator + gas hose) in the carry bag.
• Disconnect the shower hose from the water outlet of the water heater. Hold the shower head about 1 metre from the ground to let all the water drain from the hose before coiling it up and storing it in the carry bag.

These instructions allow you to store your water heater safely after use for the next time you need it during your trip!
