The Koonekt KL5 200Ah under-seat heated LiFePO4 lithium battery (ref. 496367) is the first variant of the KL5 range to integrate a heating film that allows it to charge from as low as -30°C — a decisive advantage for vanlifers who travel in the mountains or winter in cold conditions. Without this system, a standard lithium battery refuses to charge below 0°C and gets damaged.

Its LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) technology gives it more than 2000 charge/discharge cycles, approximately 5 to 7 years of intensive use — compared to 800 to 1100 cycles for an equivalent gel battery. It is up to 2 times lighter than a lead-acid model of the same capacity (23 kg versus approximately 60 kg), which significantly reduces the GVW of your converted vehicle. Its robust black metal casing protects the prismatic cells in demanding environments. The Bluetooth connection and the Koonekt KL5 app give you real-time access to remaining capacity, voltage, charge and discharge current, number of cycles and the state of health of your battery. How to install the Koonekt KL5 200Ah under-seat lithium battery?

The battery slides under the driver or passenger seat thanks to its flat format (342 × 375 × 152 mm). It can be installed upright or lying flat and is secured via the fixing points on the metal casing. Connect the supplied M8 terminals to your 12V distribution board. If you connect it to other batteries, make sure to only pair batteries of the same reference, same capacity and same state of charge. A BMS (Battery Management System) is integrated to protect the cells from overcharging, deep discharge and over-temperature. Installation by a professional is recommended for complex installations.
