Safari Chef 30 HP Combo Cadac Gas Barbecue: outdoor cooking made simple

Fancy a barbecue without carrying a bulky gas cylinder in your campervan? The Safari Chef 30 HP Combo by Cadac connects directly to an EN417 gas cartridge, screwed on in seconds underneath the appliance. No hose to unroll, no regulator to adjust: you place the barbecue, screw on the cartridge, and light it. This simplicity makes it an ideal companion for impromptu stops on road trips, wild camping and quick meals grabbed between stages.

Compact when folded and lightweight (approximately 5 kg), this gas barbecue easily fits in a boot, a storage drawer or an exterior compartment of a converted van. Its folding legs and carry bag make storage straightforward, while its 2 kW burner delivers enough heat to cook meat, vegetables or slow-cooked dishes without waiting.

Man cooking with the Safari Chef 30 HP Combo gas barbecue for vans

Three interchangeable cooking surfaces allow the appliance to be adapted to every recipe: a saucepan support for heating a dish or a cafetière, a BBQ grill for grilling, and a lid that converts into a cooking dome or an improvised pot for soups and saucy dishes. The grill features the GreenGrill ceramic coating, PFAS-free, which makes cleaning easy while ensuring healthier cooking and better heat distribution thanks to its integrated diffuser.

The removable and washable grease collection tray serves a dual purpose: it collects cooking residue and protects the burner from wind, ensuring a stable flame even outdoors. The automatic piezoelectric ignition, now integrated directly into the burner on this 2025 generation, makes starting up even easier, in any weather.

Would you prefer to use your barbecue with a refillable Butane or Propane gas cylinder? That's possible thanks to the Cadac HP to LP adapter!

How to set up and use the Safari Chef 30 HP Combo?

No fixed installation is required: this barbecue is designed for nomadic use, ready to go in just a few steps.

  • Unfold the barbecue legs until they lock into a stable position.
  • Fit the desired cooking surface (BBQ grill, saucepan support or lid/dome).
  • Screw an EN417 gas cartridge underneath the appliance until you hear the locking click.
  • Light the burner using the integrated piezo push-button, then adjust the flame intensity.
  • After use, allow the appliance to cool down, clean the cooking surfaces, then fold the legs and store everything in the included carry bag.

The gas cartridge and carry bag are sold separately. Browse our Cadac 445g/500g gas cartridges for immediate use.
