This Autoterm diesel heating kit, designed for Masters produced from 2010 to 2024, is available in two variants depending on the size of your van — and integrates a different heater according to size: the Air 2D (2 kW) for L1H1 and L2H2 formats, the Air 4D (4 kW) for the larger lengths L3H3 and L4H3.

In both cases, the heater is installed under the chassis in a protective mounting housing. This is an essential safeguard on a large van often used in demanding conditions: the housing protects the unit from mud, gravel and water splashes. For the L1H1/L2H2, warm air is delivered through a 60 mm duct. For the L3H3/L4H3, the 4 kW output of the Air 4D and its 90 mm duct allow effective heating of the most generous volumes, up to 168 m³/h of warm air flow.

The fuel connection is made via a Quick Connector T-tap adapted to the Master, without drilling the main tank. The Comfort Control panel with its cable extension allows temperature control from inside the van up to 30 °C. Fuel consumption between 0.10 and 0.24 L/h of diesel ensures comfortable range, even with a 7 or 13-litre auxiliary tank.

How to install the heating kit on a Renault Master?

The mounting housing bolts onto the chassis frame rail and houses the heating unit, protecting it from debris. The Quick Connector T-tap connects to the Master's fuel circuit without drilling the tank. The electrical cables run to the battery or the conversion's battery bank. For SKU 9.388_L1L2, the 60 mm duct passes through the floor to blow warm air inside. For SKU 9.388_L3L4 (Air 4D), the duct is Ø 90 mm — the Ø 96-90 mm air outlet adapter is included in the kit.

A heating kit compatible with VASP certification

The Autoterm Air 2D and the Autoterm Air 4D are both certified E2-10R and E2-122R, in accordance with the regulatory requirements of VASP certification for independent heaters integrated into a converted vehicle.
