34 m² of Armaflex ChezMoi, guaranteed for 10 years, to insulate your Peugeot Boxer L2H2
The manufacturer guarantees Armaflex ChezMoi for 10 years: a material you can rely on to insulate a Peugeot Boxer L2H2 for years to come. This kit brings together the quantities calculated for the Boxer L2H2: 1 roll of 10 mm, 4 rolls of 19 mm, 4 rolls of Tape and 1 bottle of Cleaner, with a pair of gloves and a utility knife included free.
Armaflex ChezMoi is an elastomeric foam made in Europe using Armacell technology. Its self-adhesive side sticks directly to clean metal bodywork, with no extra glue needed. Its closed cells also act as a vapour barrier (μ> 7 000): there’s no separate vapour control layer to install, and less condensation forms on the metal.
With a thermal conductivity of 0.035 W/(m·K) and an operating range of −50 °C to +85 °C, it insulates against both cold and heat, whether you turn your Boxer into a campervan, a work van or a motorhome. The A+ rating (ISO 16000, VOC-free) and Microban® antimicrobial treatment built into the material matter in a space where you sleep. Its fire performance follows the FMVSS automotive standard, and the manufacturer guarantees the material for 10 years.
The kit is straightforward to use: the 10 mm insulation is for the floor and uprights, the 19 mm insulation for the walls and ceiling, Tape for sealing the joints and Cleaner for cleaning the metal bodywork before installation.
Armaflex ChezMoi 19 mm: insulate the walls and ceiling
The 19 mm insulation is the standard thickness for large areas. It provides the most insulation where space allows: the Boxer’s side walls, doors and ceiling. The kit contains 4 rolls, covering 24 m².
- Thickness: 19 mm
- Pack size: 6 m² roll (6 m × 1 m)
- Thermal conductivity: λ = 0.035 W/(m·K) at 0 °C
- Vapour barrier: built in, μ> 7 000
- Operating temperature: −50 °C to +85 °C
- Fire performance: FMVSS automotive standard
- Air quality: A+ rating (ISO 16000), VOC-free
- Antimicrobial treatment: Microban® built into the material
- Guarantee: 10 years (manufacturer)

Armaflex ChezMoi 10 mm: insulate the floor and uprights
The 10 mm insulation fits where space is tight: the floor, deep structural reinforcements, wheel arches and uprights. It insulates the metal bodywork while preserving headroom. The kit contains 1 roll, covering 10 m².
- Thickness: 10 mm
- Pack size: 10 m² roll (10 m × 1 m)
- Thermal conductivity: λ = 0.035 W/(m·K) at 0 °C
- Vapour barrier: built in, μ> 7 000
- Operating temperature: −50 °C to +85 °C
- Fire performance: FMVSS automotive standard
- Air quality: A+ rating (ISO 16000), VOC-free
- Antimicrobial treatment: Microban® built into the material

Tape, Cleaner, gloves and utility knife: preparation, cutting and joints
Tape seals the joints between sheets to limit thermal bridging, while Cleaner degreases the metal bodywork for good adhesion. The kit contains 4 rolls of Tape, providing 60 m of tape, and 1 bottle of Cleaner. A pair of gloves and a utility knife are included free for handling and cutting the insulation.
- Tape: adhesive roll measuring 15 m × 50 mm; 4 rolls in the kit
- Cleaner: solvent-based Armaflex cleaner, 1 L bottle, applied with a cloth; 1 bottle in the kit
- Gloves: 1 pair, included free with the kit
- Utility knife: 1, included free with the kit

Compatibility: Peugeot Boxer L2H2
The kit is sized for the load area of a Peugeot Boxer L2H2 panel van (from 2006 onwards): 3 120 mm long, 1 870 mm wide and 1 932 mm high, with 1 422 mm between the wheel arches. These measurements are a guide: measure your vehicle before installation, especially if it has already been converted.
Please note: The partition between the load area and cab is not included in the areas covered by the kit.
As the closed cells of Armaflex ChezMoi already act as a vapour barrier, no separate vapour control layer is needed.
The Boxer L2H2 shares its bodywork with the Fiat Ducato and Citroën Jumper: see the Fiat Ducato L2H2 and Citroën Jumper L2H2 kits. Other Boxer sizes: L1H1, L1H2, L2H1, L3H2 and L3H3.
How do I install the Armaflex ChezMoi kit in a Peugeot Boxer L2H2?
Armaflex ChezMoi is self-adhesive: it installs without glue, using a few simple tools, and requires no special skills. Simply follow the steps in order. Our blog article on installing Armaflex explains each step in detail.
- Prepare the walls. Identify the areas to insulate. If you plan to add wood panelling, install the fixing battens first.
- Clean the walls before installation. Dampen a clean cloth with Cleaner and wipe down all the metal bodywork: it must be clean and degreased for the adhesive to bond. Cleaner contains a solvent and gives off fumes: wear a mask and work outside if possible.
- Mark out. Transfer the measurements of each area onto the non-adhesive side of the insulation, starting with the floor and uprights (10 mm), then the walls and ceiling (19 mm).
- Cut to size. Put on the free gloves and cut the sheets to shape with the utility knife in the kit, or with an Armacell knife set if you prefer. The foam cuts cleanly.
- Stick in place. Peel back the protective film as you go, pressing the sheet onto the metal from the centre outwards to expel any air.
- Seal the joints. Apply Tape to each join between two sheets to limit thermal bridging.

Frequently asked questions about insulating a Peugeot Boxer L2H2
How can I tell if my Boxer is an L2H2?
The size combines the length (L1, L2, L3) and roof height (H1, H2, H3). Measure the usable length of the load floor: approximately 2 670 mm for an L1, 3 120 mm for an L2 and 3 705 mm for an L3. Then measure the interior height: approximately 1 662 mm for an H1, 1 932 mm for an H2 and 2 172 mm for an H3. For an L2H2, expect 3 120 mm by 1 932 mm.
Do I need DIY experience to install this kit?
No. The insulation is self-adhesive and can be cut with the utility knife included free in the kit: clean, cut, stick, then seal the joints with Tape. Just follow the six steps in the installation section; the video shows you how.
Do I need to add glue?
No, the self-adhesive side of Armaflex ChezMoi sticks directly to the metal bodywork. Cleaner is only used to degrease it so the adhesive bonds properly.
Is this kit suitable for a motorhome based on a Boxer?
It is designed for an L2H2 Boxer panel van being converted into a campervan or motorhome. An integrated or coachbuilt motorhome has different living-area surfaces: measure them before deciding how much Armaflex to buy.
Can I double up the insulation in very cold conditions?
Yes, you can layer two sheets in exposed areas if you travel in very cold conditions. You’ll need to add rolls of Armaflex ChezMoi 19 mm to the kit.
Armaflex ChezMoi or Armaflex AF: what’s the difference?
Armaflex ChezMoi is the successor to Armaflex AF for vehicle conversions: the same self-adhesive foam, with fire performance tested to the FMVSS automotive standard. Our article compares the two ranges point by point.
Is there a kit for a Ducato or Jumper of the same size?
Yes: the Fiat Ducato and Citroën Jumper each have their own L2H2 product listings. See the Fiat Ducato L2H2 kit and the Citroën Jumper L2H2 kit.
