4 mm cork: the natural and robust solution for floor insulation
For the floor of your L3H2, cork is simply essential. It's a healthy base and a natural insulation with multiple talents.
- Rot-proof: it protects your floor and conversion from moisture and mould.
- Incompressible: it's the perfect material to withstand the weight of furniture, repeated foot traffic and the stresses of the road.
- Natural insulation: 100% bio-sourced, it offers thermal comfort and excellent acoustic absorption.
Presented in a roll, its installation is incredibly simple. Use your floor covering as a template, follow the contours with a cutter, and you're done. It's so simple that it's virtually impossible to go wrong!
Métisse RT: the versatile insulation for walls, doors and reinforcements
Made in France, socially responsible, recycled, and ultra-high-performance... Métisse RT certainly ticks all the boxes brilliantly!
Métisse RT 20kg/m3: exceptional thermal and acoustic comfort
Want to transform your large van into a real cocoon? Métisse RT is the ideal insulation to seal every nook and cranny, from ceiling to walls, right down to the most inaccessible reinforcements.
Its thermal performance is remarkable (lambda of 0.039 W/m·K). Its excellent thermal phase shift ensures you stay cool in summer and warm in winter. And what about noise? It offers acoustic attenuation of up to 68 dB. Enough to sleep soundly, wherever you're parked!
For your health and safety, it benefits from fire-retardant, antifungal and antibacterial treatment applied directly to the heart of the fibre.
Métisse RT: insulation that makes sense, for the planet and the local economy
Choosing Métisse RT to insulate your L3H2 is more than a technical choice: it's a committed action. It's a product that Heode champions with conviction, which is why you'll find it in other solutions such as our L3H2 mixed kit with Armaflex and Métisse RT, an insulation kit inspired by our bestseller, the L3H2 mixed kit with Biofib and Armaflex.
It's made from recycled textile fibres (minimum 70% cotton) and 15% polyester binder, giving clothes a second life. This wonderful initiative is led by Le Relais (Emmaüs network), which works for professional integration. Made in France, it's a local, socially responsible and eco-friendly choice. And as if that weren't enough, it's also fully recyclable!
A high-performance insulation that won't blow your budget
Who said quality and ecology had to be expensive? Métisse RT shatters this preconception. Compared to other solutions, it offers an absolutely unbeatable value for money.
Team Heode's tips for installing the L3H2 insulation kit
Are you a bit apprehensive about insulating your large van yourself? This kit has been designed to make the task accessible to everyone, even if you've never done this before! To achieve this, we've done two things: calculated the exact quantities of the various materials needed to insulate an L3H2 (with a small safety margin, you can never be too careful!), and selected products that are incredibly easy to install.
Before doing anything, you'll need to completely clear your vehicle's loading area and carry out a thorough clean using solvent-free Armaflex Cleaner, which is less polluting thanks to its solvent-free and antifreeze-free formulation.
We've chosen Métisse RT in panels, which are much easier to handle than rolls, significantly reducing the number of cuts needed. Flexible and lightweight, it cuts effortlessly with simple knives. The real advantage? It emits no toxic compounds (A+ rated) and, above all, it doesn't itch! An installation comfort that truly makes a difference.
For perfect adhesion, a spray contact adhesive is provided. After installing the panels, you simply need to apply the vapour retarder (also included), which is essential to protect your insulation from moisture and ensure its durability.

FAQ: your questions, our clear answers
Can Métisse RT be installed over sprayed cork?
Yes, no problem! It's actually an excellent combination. Sprayed cork acts as a first anti-condensation barrier, and Métisse RT provides the bulk of the thermal and acoustic performance. Just remember to let the sprayed cork dry thoroughly (minimum 24 hours) and ensure the surface is smooth.
Is the vapour retarder really mandatory?
Yes, it's essential with a fibre insulation like Métisse RT. The latter is "breathable" (it allows water vapour to pass through). The vapour retarder will regulate this flow to prevent moisture from condensing against the cold metal of your van, which protects both the insulation and the bodywork from corrosion.
Why a vapour retarder and not a vapour barrier?
A vapour barrier is completely airtight. In a van, where moisture can sometimes become trapped, it would risk locking that moisture inside the insulation. A vapour retarder is more intelligent: it blocks moisture coming from inside, but allows any moisture accidentally in the wall to escape. It's the healthiest and most durable solution.
Is this kit compatible with my large van?
Absolutely. The quantities are specifically calculated for large L3H2 vans, such as Renault Master, Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and Volkswagen Crafter.
