4 mm cork: the natural, robust solution for floor insulation
Cork is simply essential for the floor of your L3H2. It's a healthy base and a multi-talented natural insulator.
- Rot-proof: it protects your floor and furnishings from damp and mould.
- Incompressible: it's the perfect material to withstand the weight of furniture, repeated traffic and road stress.
- Naturalinsulation: 100% bio-sourced, it offers thermal comfort and excellent sound absorption.
Available in rolls, it's child's play to lay. Use your floor covering as a template, follow the contours with a cutter, and that's it. It's so simple, it's almost impossible to make a mistake!

Team Heode 's advice on installing the insulation kit for L3H2
Are you a little apprehensive about the idea of insulating your large van yourself? This kit has been designed to make the task accessible to everyone, even if you've never done it in your life! To do this, we've done two things: calculated for you the exact quantities of the different materials needed to insulate an L3H2 (with a small safety margin, you can never be too careful!), and selected products that are incredibly easy to use.
Before doing anything else, you'll need to clear the loading area completely from your vehicle and carry out a thorough cleaning using Armaflex Cleaner, which is less polluting thanks to its solvent-free, antifreeze-free formulation.
We chose Métisse RT in panels, which are much easier to handle than rolls, considerably reducing the number of cuts required. Flexible and lightweight, it can be cut effortlessly with simple knives. The real plus? It doesn't emit any toxic compounds (A+ rated) and, above all, it doesn't scratch! This makes all the difference when it comes to ease of installation.
For perfect adhesion, a contact adhesive spray is supplied. Once the panels have been installed, simply apply the vapour barrier (also included), essential for protecting your insulation from damp and ensuring its durability.

FAQ: your questions, our clear answers
Can Métisse RT be installed over sprayed cork?
Yes, it can! In fact, it's an excellent combination. The sprayed cork acts as an initial anti-condensation barrier, and Métisse RT provides the bulk of the thermal and acoustic performance. Just remember to let the sprayed cork dry thoroughly (24 hours minimum) and make sure the surface is smooth.
Is a vapour brake really compulsory?
Yes, it is essential with fibre insulation such as Métisse RT. The latter is "perspirant" (it lets water vapour through). The vapour brake will regulate this flow to prevent the moisture condensing on the cold metal sheet of your van, protecting both the insulation and the bodywork from corrosion.
Why a vapour brake and not a vapour barrier?
The vapour barrier is completely watertight. In a van, where moisture can sometimes become trapped, there's a risk of trapping this moisture in the insulation. The vapour brake is more intelligent: it blocks any moisture coming from the inside, but allows any that accidentally enters the wall to escape. It's the healthiest and most durable solution.
Is this kit compatible with my large van?
Absolutely. The quantities are specifically calculated for large L3H2 vans, such as the Renault Master, Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Volkswagen Crafter.
