You're not a great DIY enthusiast? Don't panic! This kit has been specifically designed so that everyone can successfully insulate. We've simplified everything: quantities are already calculated for your L3H3 (with a small safety margin for your peace of mind), and the products are surprisingly easy to use.

Métisse RT is supplied in panels, much more practical to handle than rolls, which also reduces the time spent cutting. Flexible and lightweight, it cuts effortlessly with a simple knife. Before starting, you'll need to thoroughly clean every corner of your vehicle to remove grease deposits, dirt and rust that could affect adhesive bonding. To do this, we've included Armacell solvent-free cleaner in this kit, which is more environmentally friendly.

FAQ: answers to your questions

Can I install this insulation over sprayed cork?

Yes, and it's even an excellent strategy! The sprayed cork will serve as an anti-condensation barrier, whilst Métisse RT will provide the bulk of the thermal-acoustic insulation. Just ensure the surface is dry (wait 24 to 48 hours minimum) and smooth before installation.

Why is the vapour retarder so important?

It's essential for natural fibre insulation. As Métisse RT "breathes", the vapour retarder will manage water vapour migration to prevent it from condensing on the cold metal of your bodywork. It therefore protects your insulation and your vehicle from rust and mould.

What's the difference with a vapour barrier?

The vapour barrier is 100% waterproof. In a van, it could trap moisture inside the insulation. The vapour retarder, on the other hand, is "intelligent": it blocks moisture coming from inside but can let it escape to the outside if necessary. It's the healthiest solution for your van.
