The lid opens with one hand thanks to a stirrup-shaped handle, with continuous adjustment up to 55° and automatic locking at every position. Permanent ventilation is configurable at the time of installation at three levels (0, 75 or 150 cm²) depending on your vehicle's volume and your air renewal requirements.

The polycarbonate double glazing provides appreciable thermal and acoustic insulation, and its high UV protection shields the interior of your van from the effects of the sun. Supplied complete with its inner frame, the Vision Star L Pro integrates a pleated blackout blind to control light levels and a mosquito net for nights without unwanted guests. How to install the Large Rooflight MPK Vision Star L Pro?

Installation requires a cut-out in the roof of your van to the exact dimensions of 500 × 700 mm. First and foremost, check that your roof thickness is between 25 and 60 mm — the compatible range for this model.

For waterproofing, two approaches are recommended according to MPK sources: a butyl mastic strip applied around the inner perimeter of the frame (the complete fixing kit available on heode.fr includes 30 stainless steel screws and 2.5 m of butyl tape), then a finishing bead of adhesive sealant around the outer perimeter. The necessary screws (2.9 × 19 mm, 14 pieces) are not included with the rooflight — plan to purchase them separately or opt for the kit.

⚠️ Note regarding screws: MPK does not include screws with this model. The universal fixing kit available on heode.fr is the most practical solution for a complete installation in a single order.

A large rooflight compliant for VASP certification

To obtain VASP certification (Véhicule Aménagé à usage Spécial Personnel), your van must in particular be fitted with an approved permanent ventilation system. The MPK Vision Star L Pro meets this requirement: it features adjustable permanent ventilation up to 150 cm² and its glazing holds ECE R43 approval, the reference standard for motor vehicle glazing. This certification guarantees that the polycarbonate dome complies with European safety standards, allowing it to be included in a VASP type-approval application in France.
