Mixed insulation kit L2H1 Armaflex - Métisse RT - Cork van & panel van
Does insulation for vans that's effective, environmentally-friendly, healthy and easy to fit sound too good to be true? Well, that's the promise of Métisse, an eco-friendly insulation that is the perfect complement to our ready-to-use insulation kit for L2H1 vehicles.
The L2H1 vehicle insulation kit that combines performance, ease of installation and ecology
Are you at a loss when it comes to choosing insulating materials that combine efficiency and respect for the environment?
Our fit-out professionals have thought of you by designing a ready-to-use kit that combines top thermal and acoustic performance with a genuine concern for the environment.
And don't worry if you're not a DIY pro: each material has been chosen for its ease of use. The aim is to make it easy for you to fit, even if it's your first time insulating a van!
In this kit, you'll find three complementary insulating materials, each adapted to a specific area of the vehicle.
Armaflex AF - For walls, ceilings and wheel arches
The benchmark forvan insulation, Armaflex AF combines exceptional thermal and acoustic performance.
⏩ In a 10 mm self-adhesive version, perfect for wheel arches, which are often sources of noise.
⏩ The 19 mm version with integrated vapour barrier is ideal for ceilings, a critical area for condensation
4 mm cork roll - For floors
Cork is a natural, high-performance solution for insulating the floor of your van. Resistant to moisture, it provides excellent insulation while remaining thin and light. Easy to lay, it provides a stable, healthy base without adding unnecessary weight.
Métisse RT - For doors and difficult areas
Flexible, recycled and local, Métisse RT is ideal where conventional insulation reaches its limits: reinforcements, angles, tight corners... Its adaptability makes it the perfect ally for those parts of the vehicle that are more complex to insulate.
And of course, the kit also includes everything you need to install your insulation and ensure it sticks over time. So there's no need to bother yourself with complicated calculations: we've already calculated everything for you, so all you have to do is order!
Métisse RT: a natural insulation that's good for the planet and good for society!
Does that blue hue ring a bell? No wonder: Métisse RT may once have been your favourite pair of jeans! This natural insulation is made from recycled cotton fabric from the Emmaüs network's Le Relais containers.
It's an insulator that's committed on several levels:
- Made from 70% (min.) recycled cotton and 15% polyester binder
- Fully recyclable
- Produced locally in France, in Le Relais centres
- A+ certified for VOC emissions: no harmful fumes
- Part of the social economy: it supports local employment
Insulation that keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter
With a thermal conductivity of 0.039 W/m-K, Métisse RT 45 mm keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer thanks to its excellent thermal phase shift.
It reduces heating requirements in cold weather and slows heat gain in high temperatures. Acoustically, it effectively absorbs external noise (traffic, rain, wind) by up to 68 dB (depending on how it is installed).
And don't forget its built-in treatments: fire retardant, antifungal, antibacterial - for long-lasting, safe insulation.
Simplified installation for L2H1 vehicles
Our specialists have selected each material in this kit not only for its performance, but also for its ease of installation, which is accessible to everyone, including beginners.
Flexible, lightweight, non-irritating and easy to cut, Métisse RT is child's play to install, even in the most complicated corners.

FAQ - L2H1 insulation kit
Which vehicles are compatible with this insulation kit?
This kit is perfectly suited to L2H1 vans. It is suitable for widespread models such as the Renault Trafic, Ford Transit Custom, Peugeot Expert, Citroën Jumpy, Opel Vivaro, Fiat Scudo or Toyota Proace in their L2H1 configurations. Quantities and formats are adjusted to optimise coverage of these vehicles.
How long does this insulation kit last?
Made from high-quality materials, this insulation kit offers excellent durability. Under normal conditions of use and with proper installation, you can expect the insulation performance to be maintained for many years, often beyond 15 years. Maintaining good ventilation in the vehicle is essential to optimise this life.
Is there any ecological insulation other than Métisse RT to insulate my van?
Of course there are! We also offer a ready-to-use insulation pack with Biofib, an insulator made from natural fibres produced in France. Its little extra? It has excellent moisture regulation!
Is a vapour barrier essential when installing Métisse RT?
Yes, the inclusion of a vapour brake is crucial for long-lasting, high-performance insulation, especially with an insulator like Métisse RT. The "intelligent" vapour brake (hygrovariable) helps to manage moisture transfer and prevent the formation of condensation inside the walls, protecting your insulation and bodywork from corrosion.
Can I lay this insulation kit over sprayed cork?
It is not advisable to lay Armaflex directly over sprayed cork if the surface is uneven, as this could impair adhesion. However, sprayed cork can make an excellent first layer for sound and heat insulation. If you use sprayed cork, make sure it is dry and well cured before continuing with the other insulation materials. A layer of sprayed cork already provides a good base.
How can I ensure that my L2H1 is properly ventilated once it has been insulated?
Good insulation should always be accompanied by effective ventilation. We recommendinstalling bottom and top vents, either passive or motorised, to create a constant flow of air. This is essential to evacuate the humidity generated by breathing and activities inside the van, and so preserve the quality of the air and the integrity of your insulation over the long term.
