It's possible to fit armaflex af 19mm insulation quickly and easily! The armaflex af 19mm self-adhesive insulation roll has been designed to make your job easier! Find out with Heode the essential tools and the installation process.

Armaflex insulation installation toolbox :

Before you start insulating, our expert fitters will Heode invites you to take :

• Site lighting
• Würth tape measure
• White chalk or white permanent marker (to make it easier to see your lines for future cutting)
• Würth disposable gloves (optional)
• Clean clothOr professional wipe (Necessary for the application of armaflex cleaner.)
• Cleaner 1L Armaflex(Remember to wear a mask to avoid inhaling the odours released by this cleaning product. We strongly recommend applying armaflex cleaner to the metal sheets of your van outdoors. It can also be used to clean your tools after use)
• Würth cutter or Armaflex cutting knife kit
• Armaflex af rolls in the thickness of your choiceDepending on the surface to be covered: ceiling, sides, floor

Installing armaflex adhesive rolls is child's play !

Step 1:

A good cleaning of all the interior sheet metal of the vehicle with the armaflex cleaner 1L. This step should not be overlooked, as it ensures that the armaflex self-adhesive roll holds well over time and provides high-performance insulation.

Step 2:

All you have to do is: measure; trace; cut; remove the translucent film protecting the powerful adhesive from one corner. Then carefully place pieces of the af armaflex roll 19mm on all the sheet metal parts of your vehicle that you want to insulate. The vast majority of reinforcements can be insulated, as the sheet metal is accessible at the rear of the reinforcements. For those that are not accessible, we recommend that you insulate them by filling them witharmaflex in flakes.

Once properly installed, armaflex adhesive offers a quality solution with impressive long-term durability.

Step 3:

You'll also need to use armaflex af adhesive tape in rolls of 15m or 30m to make all the joints. This completes the watertightness of your insulation. For example, to insulate an L1H1 vehicle, our fitters used only 15m rolls of armaflex af adhesive tape in addition to 2 rolls of 19mm armaflex af. The number of tapes you need will depend on how you install the armaflex roll insulation in your vehicle.

Armaflex ACE or Armaflex Accoflex

Armaflex ace, sometimes called armaflex accoflex, is a flexible insulation suitable for outdoor applications based on copolymer and polyolefin. In particular, it can be used to protect pipes. It does not have the technological properties of armaflex af and may contain particles that are harmful to health.

Armaflex XG entry-level or Armaflex ACE Plus

Armaflex xg is the entry-level flexible elastomeric foam insulation. But unlike the premium foam in armaflex af, it doesn't contain Microban® antibacterial protection or the latest high-performance insulation technology. The closed cells of armaflex xg are thinner than those of armaflex af. What's more, armaflex xg does not carry the EPD (Environmental Product Declarations) label, unlike its big brother, armaflex af.

Armaflex/AF best insulator

The best van insulation solution is made of elastomeric foam with state-of-the-art flexibility; highly insulating with low thermal conductivity, particularly light, rot-proof, antibacterial, flame-retardant and easy to install on the sheet metal surfaces of a van thanks to its powerful self-adhesive face.
