An affordable, effective and non-polluting thermo-acoustic insulation for L1H1 vehicles is only available at Heode!

You don't want to have to choose between efficiency, price and environmental impact for your van's insulation, but finding materials and products that meet all your requirements seems like mission impossible?

Thanks to this eco-designed kit by Heode, you can stop wondering "what should I use to insulate my van?" After the success of our Armaflex insulation kits for L1H1 vehicles, our van conversion experts have thought of planet lovers with an insulation kit made up entirely of eco-friendly insulation materials!

The bonus? Each of the materials in this kit has been meticulously chosen to withstand the specific constraints of the different areas to be insulated in your van.

So, whether you want to insulate a Renault Kangoo, a Peugeot Partner, a Citroën Berlingo, a Ford Transit Connect, an Opel Combo Cargo, a Fiat Doblò Cargo or any other type of L1H1 vehicle, this kit is perfect for you!

4 mm cork, a natural and resistant insulation for the floor

Choosing cork for your floor insulation was an obvious choice. As well as being a natural material, cork's properties make it a premium product for insulation:

  • Rot-proof, it protects your conversion from mould
  • Incompressible, it's the perfect material to resist trampling and road constraints once installed under a floor
  • Naturally insulating from both a thermal and acoustic point of view, ideal for a fully comfortable conversion!
  • In roll form, very easy to install: you simply need to use your floor covering as a template and cut with a cutter knife

Child's play — at least for children who manage to colour without going over the edges!

Métisse RT, for the walls, doors and reinforcements of your L1H1 van

French production, ethical, made from recycled fibres, with excellent thermo-acoustic performance... we don't know where to start when listing the merits of Métisse RT!

Métisse RT 20 kg/m3, a naturally efficient thermal and acoustic insulation

Are you looking for a miracle solution to turn your van into a real cocoon, sheltered from temperature variations and outside noise? Métisse RT is here for that! Designed to insulate the ceiling, walls and even the smallest reinforcements of your van, this insulation has more than one trick up its sleeve.

It indeed has excellent thermal performance (its scientific name is lambda, and it is 0.039 W/m·K), it will keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. And peace of mind in all this? Métisse RT also has very good acoustic attenuation that can reach up to 68 dB depending on the installation configuration. No more traffic noise disrupting your sleep!

For your peace of mind, it has undergone a flame-retardant, antifungal and antibacterial treatment that acts at the very heart of the textile fibre.

Métisse RT: when insulation rhymes with solidarity, ecology and local production

Choosing Métisse RT means doing much more than insulating your van: it means opting for a product that makes sense! If we offer it in this insulation kit but also in a mixed L1H1 insulation kit, it's because it is made from recycled textile fibres (with no less than 70% cotton, if you please!) and 15% polyester binder, giving a second life to end-of-life clothing. Who would have thought your old jeans could continue keeping you warm?

This wonderful initiative is led by Le Relais, a network member of Emmaüs, which works for professional integration. And cocorico, this insulation is processed in France! A local, ethical and ecological choice, what more could you ask for?

Perhaps it's fully recyclable!

A high-performance and affordable insulation

We often expect quality and ecology to rhyme with an exploded budget. With Métisse RT, forget this preconception! Compared to solutions such as Armaflex or certain insulations such as hemp fibre or Biofib, Métisse RT offers excellent value for money. You benefit from high-performance and durable insulation, whilst controlling your expenses. Insulating your van without breaking the bank is possible!

Heode team's advice for installing the eco-friendly insulation kit for L1H1 vehicles

Are you afraid of installing your van's insulation yourself? With this kit, insulating a van is not reserved for professionals! To make van conversions accessible to everyone, even amateur DIYers, we have calculated the quantity of each material needed for your L1H1 vehicle, whilst taking care to provide a small extra margin to allow you room for error.

Forget complicated rolls to handle, Métisse RT comes in panel form, much easier to handle and which limit the number of cuts.

Flexible, lightweight, it cuts easily with a smooth or serrated blade knife and installs with disconcerting ease. And the icing on the cake? No toxic emissions during installation (it is classified A+ for VOC emissions) and, above all, it doesn't itch! Unparalleled installation comfort that makes all the difference.

Before starting installation, one step is crucial: cleaning the walls. This is why we have included in our eco-friendly kit Armaflex Cleaner without solvents, designed by Armacell, the insulation expert. As well as being less polluting thanks to its formula without antifreeze or solvents, it is remarkably effective at removing grease, rust and impurities. It's the guarantee of an impeccable surface for optimal adhesion of your insulation!

For optimal fixing, we have included a contact adhesive spray glue.

Once your panels are laid edge to edge, don't forget the vapour retarder (included) to protect your installation from humidity and guarantee its longevity.

FAQ: Your questions, our answers!

Can Métisse RT be installed on sprayed cork?

Yes, absolutely! Métisse RT can be an excellent complementary or main solution, even if you have already applied sprayed cork. These two materials can work together to optimise your van's insulation. The sprayed cork will provide a first thermal and anti-condensation barrier, whilst Métisse RT will reinforce the thermal and acoustic insulation. However, ensure the sprayed cork is smooth. Allow a minimum of 24 to 48 hours drying time.

Is a vapour retarder mandatory with Métisse RT?

Yes, using a vapour retarder is essential with Métisse RT, as with most fibrous insulations. Métisse RT is a breathable material, meaning it allows water vapour to pass through. The vapour retarder will regulate this water vapour migration and prevent condensation phenomena inside the insulation and on your vehicle's metal sheet, which could degrade the insulation and encourage corrosion.

Can I use a vapour barrier rather than a vapour retarder?

A vapour barrier is completely impermeable to water vapour. In a van, where temperature and humidity variations are frequent, a vapour barrier would risk trapping humidity inside the Métisse RT structure, which would be counterproductive. The vapour retarder has a variable (hygrovariable) permeability, in other words it allows humidity that could enter the fibrous insulation to escape, whilst limiting the entry of humidity from inside the van. It's the most suitable solution for healthy and durable insulation with a natural fibre insulation such as Métisse RT.

Is this eco-friendly insulation kit compatible with my vehicle?

The material quantities in this kit are specially designed for vans such as Renault Kangoo, Peugeot Partner, Citroën Berlingo, Ford Transit Connect, Opel Combo Cargo, Fiat Doblò Cargo or any other L1H1 size vehicle.
