How to protect exposed sprayed cork layers in my utility vehicle?

Oleophobic treatment is a colourless aqueous solution after drying and non-film forming. This means it does not alter the appearance of the cork coating. Practical because it allows water repellency (protection against water attacks) of your sprayed cork coating already dry on the side walls, ceiling and floor of your converted vehicle.

This treatment also protects against atmospheric attacks and fights against cracks related to the freeze/thaw cycle. Moreover, Oleophobic treatment prevents colour variations caused by moisture on the sprayed cork coating.

In short, an Oleophobic treatment repels infiltration of substances and residues of all kinds! Don't worry, it maintains the water vapour permeability characteristics of the natural cork coating.

In other words, this solution protects the sprayed cork from potential infiltration and dirt inside your converted van.

How to spray Oleophobic treatment on sprayed cork?

Before any Oleophobic treatment, ensure that your sprayed cork coating is completely dry inside your van. All surfaces covered by the sprayed cork must be dry, sound and free from any dirt.

Then, prepare a mixture by diluting 1 volume of Oleophobic treatment in 2 to 3 volumes of water. Once the mixture is ready, spray this aqueous solution using a rendering gun on surfaces covered with Soliege natural cork coating. It is advisable and preferable to carry out a preliminary test on a small area to be treated.

This aqueous treatment solution should be sprayed at temperatures between 5° and 35°.

Please note, optimal performance of the Oleophobic treatment will only be achieved if a sufficient and recommended quantity is sprayed.
