Fibreglass panel for Mercedes Sprinter left rear swing door

Fitting your commercial vehicle with an opaque fibreglass panel is possible!

This black fibreglass panel is specifically designed to be fitted on the left rear swing door of your Mercedes Sprinter. Fully opaque, it has an opening allowing the installation of a left sliding window 457 x 382 mm with mosquito net (product sold separately on our website).

How to fit a fibreglass panel on your commercial vehicle?

Step 1: Cut the metal of your commercial vehicle to allow positioning of your left swing door fibreglass panel.

Step 2: Apply Frameto Rust Inhibitor to the metal edge around the existing opening for preventive treatment. Leave to dry, then install a reinforced seal for 6 to 8 mm double metal, essential to protect the metal edge which can be sharp and achieve a professional finish.

Step 3: Apply a neat bead of adhesive sealant (shown by a continuous yellow line on the image just below) around the perimeter of the interior face of the fibreglass panel.

Step 4: Fit the fibreglass panel directly onto the metal of your commercial vehicle in the designated position. Leave to dry for 24 hours in a dry, sheltered location.

Step 5: Install the left sliding window 457 x 382 mm with mosquito net in the opening in the centre of the fibreglass panel using the professional adhesive sealant kit. Warning, do not apply sealant to the rainwater drainage outlets of the window. Leave to dry for 24 hours in a sheltered, dry area.

Step 6 (optional): Once everything is fitted, create a wooden trim on which felt covering can be applied to achieve an optimal interior finish!
