Fibreglass panel for right rear swing door of Volkswagen Transporter T6

Equipping your vehicle with an opaque fibreglass panel is possible!

This black fibreglass panel is specifically designed to be installed on the right rear swing door of your Volkswagen T6. Fully opaque, it features an opening allowing the fitting of a right sliding window 457 x 382 mm with mosquito net (product sold separately on our website).

How to install a fibreglass panel on your vehicle?

Step 1: Cut the metal of your vehicle to allow space for your right swing door fibreglass panel.

Step 2: Apply Frameto Anti-Rust around the metal edge of the present opening for preventive treatment. Leave to dry, then install a reinforced seal for 6 to 8 mm double metal, essential to protect the edge of the metal which can be sharp and achieve a professional finish.

Step 3: Neatly apply a bead of adhesive sealant (represented by a continuous yellow line in the image just below) around the perimeter of the inner face of the fibreglass panel.

Step 4: Place the fibreglass panel directly onto the metal of your vehicle at the designated location. Leave to dry for 24 hours in a dry and sheltered area.

Step 5: Install, using the professional adhesive sealant kit, the right sliding window 457 x 382 mm with mosquito net in the opening, at the centre of the fibreglass panel. Please note, do not apply sealant at the rainwater drainage outlets of the window. Leave to dry for 24 hours in a sheltered and dry space.

Step 6 (optional): Once everything is installed, create a wooden trim on which felt covering can be applied to achieve an optimal interior finish!
