This rooflight is designed for roofs with a thickness of 28 - 50 mm, but it can also be installed on roofs up to 85 mm thick thanks to the extension kit.

Installation advice and related products

Installing a rooflight is an important step. Here is what you need to know for a successful and perfectly watertight installation:

1. The cut-out: Installation requires a 28 x 28 cm opening in your roof.
2. Sealing (a crucial step): For a perfect and lasting seal, we recommend using a quality sealant mastic such as Sika 521 UV. Apply a generous bead under the external frame of the rooflight.
3. Fixing: The rooflight is simply screwed in from the inside. The fixings are generally supplied.
4. The finish: The inner frame neatly completes the installation from inside your van.

Tip: If your roof is particularly thin, creating a wooden counter-frame is recommended to reinforce the structure and ensure a perfect fit.

Can you drive with the rooflight open?

No, it is essential to close it firmly before setting off. Even a partial opening could damage it due to air pressure.

Is the blackout blind included?

This model comes with a mosquito net as standard. For blackout purposes, we recommend the "Opaque White" version. For a system with a combined blackout blind and mosquito net, you can look towards our 40x40 rooflights or the Pro version with mosquito net and blind here

How do you clean the mosquito net?

It is very straightforward. It is designed to be easily unclipped from the inner frame, allowing you to wash it with soapy water.
