Because a LONGBOARD side unit without a worktop makes no sense!

A LONGBOARD worktop of your chosen length (PT450; PT870 or PT1290), made from 15 mm thick HPL laminated birch plywood, essential for the use and finish of all low cabinets.

Select your worktop according to the number of low cabinets you will have for creating your own LONGBOARD side unit. Please note, if you plan to install one or more high cabinet(s), these do not need a worktop. You will therefore need to provide a suitable worktop only for the remaining low cabinet(s) alone.

To better understand:

• For 1 low cabinet alone, choose the worktop (PT450)
• For 2 low cabinets side by side, choose the worktop (PT870)
• For 3 low cabinets side by side, choose the worktop (PT1290)

It is important to know that you also have the option of installing one worktop next to another! Let's say you plan to have 3 low cabinets (which will not receive a high cabinet) in your interior, in this case, several compositions are possible:

• 1 PT1290 worktop to install on the 3 low cabinets
• 1 PT450 worktop to install on 1 of the 3 low cabinets + 1 PT870 worktop to install on 2 of the 3 low cabinets

Our team is loyal to birch wood which has proven its qualities with our Oceanside and Fontana complete conversion kits, since after several trips, intensive use and wood treatment: they don't budge!

So why opt for another wood when this one meets all our requirements and provides satisfaction! For all the surface elements of our new LONGBOARD side unit, we have added an HPL laminate coating to protect it against stains, scratches and accidental light knocks.

All our worktops are covered with this HPL laminate finish to withstand daily use during your stays in a converted van. Because we know that a worktop is meant to accommodate a sink, a hob or even a combination unit (water + fire). It's like the worktop in your fitted kitchen at home, you use it every day so it must be durable so you don't have to change it constantly.

Uses of the LONGBOARD worktop

As you will have understood, our worktops require no special maintenance thanks to the HPL laminate finish.

The simple PT450 worktop can accommodate either a sink or a gas hob. Whilst the duo PT870 and trio PT1290 worktops have the capacity to accommodate both at the same time or even a combination unit. In case of splashes and/or dirt on it after doing your washing up or cooking a nice meal, don't worry, everything will clean easily.

Make sure to choose the worktop compatible with your own combination of low cabinet(s) not receiving high cabinet(s)!
