The ecological insulation kit for L4H3 vans
Insulating a volume as large as that of an L4H3 van is a major challenge. So if you don't want to waste time comparing dozens of different types of insulation on the market, you've come to the right place!
To spare you this tedious task, the fitters at Heode have put all their expertise into this all-in-one insulation kit that makes no compromise between performance and ecology, without neglecting your budget.
We have a proven track record when it comes to large volumes, as demonstrated by the success of our L4H3 kit with Armaflex and cork flakes. For this kit, we have selected the best ecological insulation materials, capable of meeting the requirements of the largest vans: moisture management, treatment of thermal bridges, insulation of complex areas, etc.
This kit is the tailor-made solution for the Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, Renault Master, Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Iveco Daily in their L4H3 versions.
4 mm cork: a healthy, robust foundation for your converted van
For the floor of an L4H3, you need something solid. Cork is the essential solution for laying a healthy, durable foundation.
- Rot-proof: It forms a reliable moisture barrier, protecting your floor from corrosion and mould.
- Incompressible: It perfectly withstands the weight of your heaviest fixtures and fittings and repeated traffic.
- Natural insulation: This 100% bio-sourced material will provide you with first-rate thermal comfort and sound absorption.
Supplied in rolls, it's incredibly easy to lay. Use your floor covering as a template, follow the edges with a cutter, and all you have to do is stick it in place. It couldn't be simpler!
Métisse RT: eco-efficient insulation for maximum comfort
Made in France, socially responsible, recycled and incredibly effective... Métisse RT is without doubt one of the best insulators on the market.
A well-insulated van, in winter and summer alike
With so much space to heat or cool, you can't go wrong with insulation! Métisse RT is the ideal solution for transforming your L4H3 into a comfortable space, by treating the walls, ceiling, doors and reinforcements.
Its thermal performance is exceptional (lambda of 0.039 W/m-K). Its excellent thermal phase shift creates a real shield against the heat in summer and the cold in winter. In terms of sound, it reduces noise levels by up to 68 dB, so you can enjoy a peaceful night's sleep.
For your health, it is treated with fire retardant, antifungal and antibacterial properties at the heart of the fibre.
A choice that makes sense for the planet and the local economy
Choosing Métisse RT means investing in a product with a soul. It's one of our favourite materials, and we use it in a number of configurations, like our L4H3 mixed kit combining Armaflex and Métisse.
Made from cotton recycled by Le Relais (Emmaüs network), it supports professional integration in France. Local, supportive, eco-friendly and itself 100% recyclable, it really has it all.
Premium performance at a reasonable price
Ecological excellence comes at a price, but it doesn't have to be exorbitant. The Métisse RT is proof of this, with unbeatable value for money.
Installing the kit for L4H3: a project within your reach!
Even on such a large van, insulation doesn't have to be an ordeal. At Heode, we've designed this kit to be installed by anyone, even DIY enthusiasts! The secret? Precisely calculated quantities for your L4H3 (with a safety margin included, just in case) and products that are easy to handle and install.
First and foremost, remember to meticulously clean all your vehicle's surfaces with Armacell Cleaner solvent-free cleaner, which is more environmentally friendly than its predecessor thanks to its solvent-free, antifreeze-free composition. This is a non-negotiable step to eliminate grease, dust or rust and guarantee perfect adhesion of the adhesive.
Métisse RT is supplied in panels, which are much more practical than rolls, especially for large surfaces. Less cutting, less handling! It cuts effortlessly and, above all, it's non-scratch and non-toxic (classified A+). You can't put a price on ease of installation.
Everything is included: a contact adhesive spray for fixing, and a vapour barrier to protect your installation and ensure its longevity.

FAQ : Clear answers to your questions
Can I install Métisse RT over a layer of sprayed cork?
Yes, it's an excellent idea! The sprayed cork will act as an anti-condensation primer, and the Métisse RT will provide thermo-acoustic performance. Just make sure the cork is completely dry (wait 24 to 48 hours) and that the surface is smooth.
Is a vapour brake really necessary?
It is absolutely essential with fibre insulation. It regulates the passage of water vapour to prevent it condensing on the cold metal sheet, protecting your van from rust and your insulation from damp.
Why choose a vapour retarder and not a vapour barrier?
A vapour barrier is a watertight barrier that can trap moisture. A vapour barrier is an intelligent membrane that blocks moisture from the inside while allowing the structure to "breathe". It's the healthiest and most durable solution for a converted vehicle.
Is this kit compatible with my large L4H3 van?
Yes, the quantities have been specifically calculated for the generous volumes of the Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, Renault Master, Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Iveco Daily in L4H3 version.
Do you have other ecological alternatives for insulating my van?
Of course we do! To give you as much freedom of choice as possible, we also offer a mixed L4H3 kit with Biofib, insulation sourced from wood fibres.
