The HPC polymer surface coating — whose mechanical and UV resistance is equivalent to that of glass — protects the cells over time without adding weight to the assembly. Unlike a fully flexible panel bonded directly to the bodywork, the integrated aluminium frame absorbs the micro-deformations of the roof while driving and prevents progressive cell cracking. How to install the 190 W PERC-HD slim semi-rigid solar panel?

Installation is carried out by direct bonding using the grooved support of the aluminium frame (structural adhesive such as Sikaflex recommended, after degreasing and surface primer). The 3 m cable supplied with the unit is then routed into the van via a waterproof roof cable entry. No additional drilling is required for the cables if you use a suitable roof cable entry. Make sure to leave a slight air gap under the frame to avoid thermal bridging and facilitate self-cleaning.
